We focused on the spirit of Santa as a giver of gifts. It allowed our little ones to experience that giving is indeed much better than receiving. Take some time during Santa Night to do a little giving yourself.
We are getting into the Thanksgiving spirit by celebrating the yummy bird that we love so much.
We had lots of fun hunting down our turkeys, dressing them and enjoying our turkey meal.
We love sports and nothing is better than a cup of hot chocolate and a good football game! Given my hubby's urge to break out the grill (after our burn ban), we went with a tailgate theme and became extreme fans....without the body paint. You are welcome to body paint if you want to go that far. :)
Sorry for the summer break, but we have been having lots of fun and still having family nights. Hope to get a lot of new posts
Tonight we were sitting down to eat some pasta and my middle said it looked liked worms and so it was officially WORM night. My sweet hubby just rolled with it and a plan was quickly devised. Pasta dinner worms, chocolate pudding w/ gummy worms for dessert, a paper craft garden with brown yarn worms and a fun game of burrowing under sheets layed down across the floor. Lots of laughter and fun. Sometimes you get thrown a curve ball and you've just got to play along.
Last week we had sailboat night and turned the table into our own boat. It was a last minute change from plans but we ended up having a lot of fun. The boys actually thought up the night because of reading our Bible story that morning about the disciples in the boat and Jesus calming the storm. I love when they connect what we are learning in Scripture th
It was a nice day so we decided to take the boys fishing after dinner. The camera got missed in all the hustle and bustle of the last minute decision but we did catch 8 perch and 4 turtles! I loved seeing the boys reaction to a turtle coming up when they thought Daddy had caught a log instead. So glad we seized the moment and made a fun memory.
With Easter right around the corner, we opted for a bunny-themed Family Night. 'HOP to it' is sure to bring lots of fun and laughter to your family.
Welcome to Our Family Night Site!
I'm a mom of 3 boys and enjoy the rough and tumble world of adventure it brings me. I'm super blessed to work alongside my hubby at our church and he gets the vote for Man of the Year award in my book. We have Family Night one night every week and it's our chance to be intentional about spending time together. I love my kids, family time and most of all Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. He gives me the ability to be creative so here I am sharing that with you. Enjoy!
