DINNER & DESSERT
Dinner is a family choice night. Pick any meal that will make your family's hearts sing.
Dessert: Play me S'more music
Cut strips of flat marshmallows or cheese approx 1/2 inch wide. Break chocolate into strips or use chocolate candy bar pieces.
Use a graham cracker as the base and cover with peanut butter or something sticky
Use a piano picture as a template to lay out the white and black keys made of your ingredients
Eat and Enjoy

CRAFT: Handmade Harmonicas
Color craft stick or apply stickers (do not use markers because they will come off on lips)
Stack sticks together
Wrap paper perpendicular to the sticks. Wrap all the way around.
Cover paper with a layer of clear tape
Remove one of the sticks so that the paper tubes are on only one stick
Use large rubberband and stretch lengthwise from end to end over the 2 paper tubes
Stack the other stick back on top
Use smaller rubberbands to secure sticks together at both ends
Blow through sticks in between the paper tubes.
Sliding the tubes in and out will change the pitch

Alternate crafts: Make a guitar from a shoebox, rubberbands, craft sticks. Toilet paper roll shakers (cardboard tube, beans, paper/fabric, rubberband)
ACTIVITY: Name that tune
Play bits and pieces of songs and see who can name the song first. Other options include: Be a family band. Each family member play or use a different musical instrument (real or created) and make up a family song. Also, you can you an App to creat your own song on your smartphone device.
