DINNER & DESSERT
Rocket Dogs: Skewer hotdogs then wrap with canned breadsticks or bread type of choice. Bake in oven according to bread instructions.
Top with a cube of cheese cut into a triangle or a piece of fruit shaped like a cone (a strawberry works well).
We added pita chips stuck in the sides as wings or you could use chips and dip and design into a space ship.
Rocket Pop: Purchase popsicles shaped like rockets

CRAFT: Paper Roll & Tube Rockets
1) Paper roll rockets
Use toilet paper roll. Print rocket pieces sheet. Color pieces.Cut out pieces. Tape body to the toilet paper roll, make nose cone by cutting out wedge and then folding until desired width. Tape pieces together (tape w/ colors can be difficult due to wax, use markers or glue instead)
2) Straw Rockets
Place tape / clay / anything to block air over the end of one larger straw. Take small straw and insert into large straw. Blow into opposite end of skinny
straw. This will shoot off the straw like a rocket.

ACTIVITY: Rocket Launcher
I was blessed to get some squeeze rockets in the dollar/party section of my favorite store. You can also purchase finger rockets online which are great for an indoor rocket game of tag. Go outside and see how far you can shoot your rocket. Use the straw rocket to see if you can hit a target. Play 'catch' and have someone try to catch the rocket you shoot.
If you have older kids, there are alot of instructions online on how to make and launch a real rocket made with home cleaning supplies.
Wrap up the night by watching a shuttle launch, rocket video or Apollo 13.
